PAWTASTIC STAYS

OREGON

Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa | Pacific City

Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa in Pacific City has earned the honor of our Pawtastic Stays Gold Paw and is one of our absolute favorite hotel picks in the state of Oregon! You’ll feel like a VIP as soon as you step through the doors. The architecture is stunning and the ambience one of luxury, but they welcome pets with open arms! The hotel is located on a beautiful stretch of coastline adjacent to the dunes of Cape Kiwanda.

Rooms are spacious and include balconies so your pup can gaze at the sunset and smell the ocean air! Pet-friendly amenities include custom pet dishes, dog beds, dog towels and a personalized welcome letter! After a day of playing in the sand, exploring the tide pools and running along the beach with your pup, make sure you stop by the heated dog shower! Your dog is also welcome to join you in the restaurant at specific tables — they may even get a treat from the kitchen!

This is one of the stops on #scoutsroute and he now serves as ambassador of the new doggy welcome area! Grab your pup a treat, a Headlands poop bag holder and please snap a photo with Scout (located in the activities center)!

Abbey Road Farm | Carlton

Abbey Road Farm is a working 82-acre farm bed and breakfast in the heart of wine country. A perfect staycation or home base for exploring wine country. The Silo Suite is the on-site bed-and-breakfast at Abbey Road Farm and it’s pet-friendly!  It is probably one of the most unique B&B’s out there, as the five individual rooms are housed within the three re-purposed silos.

Scout and I stayed in the Pinot Noir suite, which was on the top level of the northernmost silo. The room was understated, but blended in perfectly with the feel of a working farm. Scout loved walking the grounds, meeting all the farm animals — especially Abbey, the Great Pyrenees — and I enjoyed the tasting room, just a hop, skip and jump away from the suite.
I also have to mention that the breakfast was like nothing I’ve ever seen — it was more like an art presentation! And the best part: Scout was able to sit with me as I dined!

Atticus Hotel | McMinnville

The Atticus Hotel is located in one of my favorite Oregon small towns and is a must-visit for wine lovers!

The pet-friendly rooms allow you and your pup to share the magic of Oregon Wine Country from the comfort of one of their Atticus Hotel Suites.

Your pup is sure to feel pampered with their locally-sourced Ginger brand dog beds to keep your pup comfy, an Atticus Hotel dog bowl for you to keep, and handmade doggie treats baked fresh just around the corner.

Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa | Astoria

Archie and I had the most incredible trip to the pet-friendly and recently renovated Cannery Pier Hotel and Spa in Astoria, Oregon!

This hotel has everything I look for when booking a pet-friendly getaway — and more! The rooms are stunning and the views of the Columbia River are captivating. I could sit and watch the ships go by all day long!

There are incredible amenities included, such as wine and appetizers from 5-6pm —  and yes, your pup can join! — a Pendleton dog bed, food and water bowls, a welcome letter to your pup from the hotel’s dog ambassador (Sammy the Pug), a chauffeur who will take you and your pup into town in a classic car, and the most delicious treats at the lobby desk that are hand-made by local-based Portland Pet Food.

But the best part of it all was the incredibly kind and doggy-loving staff! Archie fell in love with each and every one of them! Our stay was beyond special and we can’t wait to return!

FivePine Lodge & Spa | Sisters

Located in Sisters, FivePine Lodge & Spa is by far one of our favorite pet-friendly hotels in central Oregon.

We love staying in their cozy cabins nestled amongst the large ponderosa pine trees. The property is serene and peaceful and the service top-notch. You’re only a short walk to their groomed trails, located directly behind the cabins, with access to the Peterson Ridge Trail system. The cabins appear very rustic from the exterior, but they are beautifully appointed inside.

It’s not uncommon to see deer strolling through the property. Scout was always so entertained! The town of Sisters is just a walk away — an easy stroll with the pup!

Hallmark Resort | Cannon Beach

The Hallmark resort in Cannon Beach is a hotel we’ve returned to again and again. It holds many special memories and is one of the stops on #scoutsroute. There are many ocean view rooms to chose from. The view of Haystack Rock is worth the upgrade!

Your pet is made to feel special as soon as they step into the lobby. Their name will be displayed on a welcome board with a treat basket underneath for easy access. At check-in, every pet also receives a special “doggy bag” that includes their own towel for wiping off sandy paws, frisbee toy, pooper scoopers and doggy cookies!

Note: Beach access includes lots of stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.

One Diamond Beach | Rockaway

This is a beautiful, upscale, oceanfront, pet-friendly Airbnb luxury townhouse located just three short blocks from the center of town in Rockaway Beach, Oregon.

We’ve enjoyed this home many times with Scout and can’t wait to bring Archie! Relax and take in the views from the living room deck while your pup enjoys the ocean breezes. You may even spot a deer or two!

The beach is just a few minutes walk from the back deck and it’s perfect for some playing in the sand or frolicking in the waves with your pup! The host goes above and beyond to treat you and your furry family members like VIP’s! You’ll want to visit again and again!

Surfsand Resort | Cannon Beach

We’ve spent many years visiting this pet-friendly resort with all of our dogs! Its location is perfect for those pups who want the luxury of having the beach right outside the door. Many ocean view rooms available — including views of the famous Haystack Rock. There are grassy areas around the hotel and the beach is pet-friendly if your dog has a good recall.

After the beach romp, you can find the hot water station by the beach for pet baths.

I love that this hotel offers in-room dining from the Wayfarer restaurant, so you don’t have to leave the hotel, but it also isn’t a far walk into town if you’d like to stroll the cute town of Cannon Beach.

Dogs are greeted in the lobby with a welcome sign and fresh water. At check-in, they’ll receive a welcome basket with towels, pet bowls and a dog bed. Doggy treats are also available at the front desk.

The Vintages Trailer Resort | Willamette Valley

The Vintages trailer resort located in Oregon’s famed Willamette Valley, specializes in the quintessential doggy-glamping experience. The pawfect place to stay if you want to explore the area’s wineries and tasting rooms.

Lots of grass on the resort grounds for your pup’s potty breaks. We especially love all the trees twinkle lights in the evenings. It gives it a truly magical ambience.

Dogs are only permitted in one of the nine Shasta trailers, so please add the required “Stay & Play” add-on while booking online to let them know you are bringing your furry friend.
